Maximum size / Number of lines of PL/SQL code to format?

I was trying something a bit out of the ordinary, and perhaps not the most practical uses of SQLinForm: I wanted to make a local copy of all of the SPs, Triggers, Packages, etc. in my Oracle database, so I can review them when I am off-line. Since what I get out of the DB when that happens is usually formatted however they were initially entered (in other words, ugly and inconsistent), I wanted to format the entire thing before I saved it locally. I notice that there appears to be a limit either by lines or overall size.

I was able to format just under 14500 lines and 360K, but not much beyond that.

As I said, it's not the most practical uses of the tool, but it did make me wonder what the maximum sizes are. Or is it an issue with the number of procedures it's formatting, rather than the overall size of the file?

Hi,
thanks for your very interesting posting!! In theory, there is no limit with the SQL size, because the internal arrays are increased dynamically. Therefore I am almost sure that the limitation is related to the default Java heap size (which you can increase).
